Manage data stewards

Data governors can use the Data Governance page to manage the data stewards assigned to a record type. To manage data stewards, select the checkbox next to the record type and click CONFIGURE SECURITY.

In the dialog, you'll see a list of all users and groups that are data stewards for the record type, and whether they were assigned from the record type object or from the Data Governance page.

From this list view, you can assign data stewards to the record type, or remove data stewards that were assigned from the Data Governance page.

Assign data stewards

Data governors can assign users as data stewards to a single record type or multiple record types. Data stewards then use record types to add processes.

To assign a user as a data steward to one or more record types, select the checkboxes next to the record types and click CONFIGURE SECURITY.

Remove data stewards

Data governors can only remove data stewards if they were assigned using Data Governance.

To remove a data steward from a record type:

  1. Select the checkboxes next to the record type and click CONFIGURE SECURITY.
  2. Click the X icon in the row with the user you want to remove.
  3. Click SAVE.
