The RWM application was deprecated with Appian 24.1. The application will no longer be updated or pre-installed for new Appian Cloud sites with Appian RPA enabled. RWM will be removed in a future release and we encourage customers to use the Operations Console to manage robots instead. |
This guide will take you through the common steps for downloading and installing the Robotic Workforce Manager (RWM) application.
RWM relies on a set of bundled plugins that Appian supports as part of the application. Support for use of these plugins in other scenarios is provided by the Appian community in accordance with AppMarket guidelines.
Note: You won't need to do the the steps on this page if you are using a new Appian cloud site with Appian RPA enabled. The RWM application will be pre-installed.
You'll complete these steps to install RWM:
prerequisites.xml
.Note: The encryption functions plug-in has additional required set up instructions. The plug-in file and instructions are both available for download as one package.
To add a plug-in on a Cloud site:
Navigate to the Appian Administration Console.
Click Plug-ins in the left side of the Admin Console.
Click Deploy New Plug-ins.
Search for the given plug-ins, select the plug-in, and click deploy.
Note: The instructions below apply for Appian Cloud installations using MySQL. Steps may vary depending on database vendor.
Navigate to the Cloud Database page.
Upload the RoboticWorkforceManager(RWM)v5.6.sql
file in the Scripts folder and click Go to run the script.
Importing the RWM application package downloaded, Robotic WorkForce Manager.zip
and its corresponding Robotic WorkForce Manager.properties
file follows the standard Appian application import process. However, the configuration of the Robotic Workforce Manager.properties
file varies by the selected RPA vendor.
Your RWM installation is now almost complete! Proceed with Appian RPA setup.
