What's new?

The Government Source Selection 1.9 Release Notes provide an overview of the latest changes and improvements to the Government Source Selection Solution. The new features and improved capabilities were designed with best practices in mind.

Contract Writing integration

Government Source Selection (GSS) is now integrated with Contract Writing (CW) to improve workflows and track Evaluations related to a Solicitation. This integration enhances the procurement flow from Solicitation to Evaluation and ultimately to Award, providing a more streamlined experience for the contracting personnel.

Creating Evaluations now starts directly from released Solicitations in the CW solution. Relevant fields from the Solicitation are automatically pre-populated into the Evaluation wizard, reducing repetitive data entry and minimizing errors.

After creating an Evaluation using the Evaluation wizard in the CW solution:

  • The Evaluation details appear in the CW’s Solicitation Summary.
  • The related Solicitation is visible in the GSS’s Evaluation Summary, establishing a clear connection between the two solutions.

Additionally, audit logs now display which fields are pre-populated from the Solicitation and which were updated by the Contracting Officer.

Key features

  • Create Evaluation action: Available for released Solicitations in CW.
  • Pre-populated fields: Data from the Solicitation automatically fills fields in the Create Evaluation wizard.
  • Tracking Evaluations: Related Evaluations, with their status, appear in the Solicitation Summary.
  • Solicitation visibility: Related Solicitations are listed in the Evaluation Summary.
  • Audit logs: Differentiate between fields populated from the Solicitation and those manually entered or updated by the Contracting Officer.

Delete Evaluation

GSS users can now delete Evaluations directly from the Evaluation Summary page. Once confirmed, the Evaluation and its associated documents are removed, and open tasks are automatically canceled. Deletion is available for Evaluations in Setup, In Progress, or Completed status.
