What's New?

The Government Clause Automation (GCA) 2.0 Release Notes provides an overview of the latest changes and improvements to the Government Clause Automation Solution. The new features and improved capabilities were designed with best practices in mind.

Document Export Updates

Currently, the Clause Set document is formatted to repeat information and generally requires additional updates before including it with the contract file. This release improves the document format by presenting the critical information in a clear heading and removing prescription text that is not necessary at the point of document generation. These improvements allow you to use the generated Clause Set document directly in formal documents without needing any additional changes, which saves time when building the contract file.

Easier Access to Prescription Text

When creating a clause set, users can add additional clauses that aren't automatically included based on the FAR smart matrix or predefined custom rules. To ensure the appropriate clauses are added, users can reference the prescription text for each clause during Step 4 of the clause set creation process. This saves time and makes it easier to ensure the appropriate clauses are added to the clause set.

Enhanced Rules Functionality

To better manage the creation of clause sets, this release allows the procurement type to be used as part of a rule. Users can now manage clause inclusion or exclusion based on whether they are creating a clause set for a solicitation or an award, providing additional flexibility for the clause set creation process.
