If you use a!toJson() to create a text representation of record data, that JSON can then be cast to a record data type with a!fromJson(). This example shows how to cast a JSON string to the Address record type. When casting JSON data to a record type, Appian automatically matches the keys to the record type's fields. Any non-matching key names are ignored. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 cast( recordType!Address, a!fromJson( "{""addressId"":301,""addressLine"":""7950 Jones Branch Dr"", ""city"":""McLean"",""stateProvinceId"":75,""postalCode"":""22102""}" ) ) Examples Deserialize text 1 internalize("000000010000003000000000000000030000000448656C6C6F20576F726C6421000000000000000000000001000000030000000100000002") Returns Hello World!.
