New features in Connected Claims 2.1 The Connected Claims 2.1 release notes describe the changes and improvements in Connected Claims 2.1. This release includes the following features: Update surveys on active claims: Claims adjusters and supervisors can add, create, reorder, require, and remove questions in a Survey task for one claim. See Update surveys on active claims. Faster claim summary and Workflow tab loading: Connected Claims 2.1 loads the claim Summary view and the Workflow tab faster when many users work at the same time. See Faster claim summary and Workflow tab loading. Update surveys on active claims Connected Claims 2.1 lets claims adjusters and supervisors change the questions in a survey task while a claim is in progress. From the Workflow tab of a claim, select Update Survey on a Survey task to add questions from the Question Bank, create a question for that claim only, reorder questions, mark questions as required, or remove questions. The changes apply only to that claim. The survey template in the Control Panel and every other claim that uses the survey stay the same. Claims adjusters do not need administrators to configure a separate survey for each claim scenario, which is useful when a claim needs a tailored questionnaire before it goes to an outside party such as a doctor or a hospital. The Update Survey action requires Connected Claims Management Base Application v2.1 and Survey Task Framework v1.3. An administrator must also add the action to the CCM_Task record type and the Tasks grid. For the setup steps, see Add the Update Survey action to the CCM_Task record. For the user steps, see Update a survey on an active claim. Faster claim summary and Workflow tab loading Connected Claims 2.1 delivers faster, more reliable loading of the claim Summary view and the Workflow tab when many users work at the same time. Connected Claims 2.1 tracks the progress of claim creation in a database table instead of the in-memory process analytics engine. Under high user loads, background checks against the process analytics engine could slow down claim record views or cause them to fail. Because Connected Claims 2.1 does not query the process analytics engine for claim creation status, claims adjusters and supervisors get consistent, responsive claim views during peak usage. Install Connected Claims 2.1 To install Connected Claims 2.1, see the installation guide for your database: Installing Connected Claims - MariaDB Installing Connected Claims - PostgreSQL Connected Claims 2.1 requires Appian 26.9 or later. This applies to the base application, the Surveys and Questions module, and the Claim Triage Agent module. Feedback Was this page helpful? SHARE FEEDBACK Loading...
