Prepare for installation This guide outlines the steps for downloading and installing Connected Claims with MariaDB. Before starting the installation process, be sure to review the System Requirements to ensure all minimum requirements are met. System requirements This section details the minimum requirements your system must meet to run Connected Claims. Before installing Connected Claims, ensure your environment meets the following requirements: Appian version 26.9 or greater. An Appian Cloud environment with the advanced or premium platform tiers. A supported version of MariaDB as a business data source. A supported web browser. Verify the Appian version and database type Follow the steps in this section to verify the Appian platform version and database. From the Navigation menu, click About Appian. Under System Information, verify the Appian Version is 26.9 or later. Under DATA SOURCES, verify that a supported version of MariaDB is a business data source. Enable custom properties Before installing Connected Claims, you need to enable two custom properties. The process differs depending on whether you have a self-managed or Appian Cloud environment. Self-managed customers Self-managed customers need to enable the custom properties in the custom properties file before restarting the app server. To do this: Open the custom properties file located at <APPIAN_HOME>/conf/. Set the value of the appian.feature.solutions-api.enabled property to true. For example: appian.feature.solutions-api.enabled=true. Set the value of the appian.feature.solutions-api.accstudio.enabled property to true. For example: appian.feature.solutions-api.accstudio.enabled=true. After you enable these properties, restart the app server. For instructions on restarting the app server, see Starting and Stopping Appian. While the server restarts, start the Connected Claims installation process. Appian Cloud customers Appian Cloud customers must request assistance from Appian Support to manage environment toggles. To enable a toggle: Log in to the Appian Community. Click the Support tab. Select Open a New Case and click + NEW CASE to create a new support ticket. Specify your environment details and clearly list the feature toggles you need enabled: appian.feature.solutions-api.enabled=true appian.feature.solutions-api.accstudio.enabled=true Click CREATE CASE.
