About Appian Designer Share Share via LinkedIn Reddit Email Copy Link Print On This Page Appian Designer is where you build applications using a combination of AI-assisted development and manual configuration. You can create, manage, deploy, and monitor applications from a single environment. To access Appian Designer, you must be a member of the Designers system group. Contact your system administrator if you need access. Plan before you build Before you start building design objects, consider using Appian Composer to plan your application and build alignment among stakeholders. Appian Composer helps teams translate business requirements into an application plan—defining data models, personas, processes, and user stories—so everyone agrees on what you're building before development begins. Once you have an application plan, you can: Generate foundational objects from the plan and then configure them further with Composer or on your own. Use Composer to build out your application from the user stories generated by your application plan. Use the plan to guide your own manual building in Appian Designer. You can also skip planning entirely and start building immediately—with Composer or on your own.
