The Branding > Typefaces settings in the Admin Console set a single custom typeface for the entire environment. CSS profiles extend this capability by letting you specify a typeface per profile and apply different profiles to different sites and portals. For example, a company with different brand guidelines for internal and external content can apply one typeface to their internal-facing sites and a different typeface to their external-facing portals. For instructions, see Custom Typefaces. Configure typefaces for sites and portals Configuring a typeface in a CSS profile overrides the environment's default typeface for any site or portal that uses that profile. To configure a typeface for a site or portal: In the Admin Console, go to the Branding > CSS Profiles settings. Create a CSS profile or open an existing one. In the CSS profile, select a Typeface. In the site or portal object, select the CSS profile. Click SAVE CHANGES. Import and export CSS profiles with typefaces CSS profiles and typefaces are exported separately. When importing CSS profiles, if the referenced typeface doesn't exist in the target environment, the CSS profile updates to use the environment's default typeface. To avoid breaking the relationship between a CSS profile and its selected typeface in the target environment, either import typefaces and CSS profiles together, or import typefaces before importing CSS profiles. How the default typeface affects CSS profiles The default typeface is configured in the Admin Console Branding > Typefaces settings. The standard Appian CSS profile always uses the default typeface. Changing the default typeface updates all CSS profiles using that default. Sites reflect the change immediately. Portals require republishing. When a typeface is deleted, any CSS profile that referenced the deleted typeface reverts to the default typeface. Feedback Was this page helpful? SHARE FEEDBACK Loading...
