Accelerate ProcureSight Enterprise

On This Page
This content applies solely to ProcureSight Enterprise, which must be purchased separately from the Appian base platform. This content was written for Appian 26.6 and may not reflect the interfaces or functionality of other Appian versions.

After installing ProcureSight Enterprise (PSE), you can leverage the PSE Database Accelerator in order to preload some sample data to start using the application immediately. The accelerator will include sample data of solution records, forecast records, and the associated documents.

The application and database objects required for the accelerator are included in the PSE package. Follow the steps below to load in the data from the accelerator.

Step 1: Creating database objects

To insert the sample data into your PSE application, you have to run a DDL script in your database. We have two separate SQL scripts for the Database Accelerator in the PSE app package. You must choose the one that is relevant to your database to create the database objects:

  • ProcureSightEnterpriseDatabaseAcceleratorMariaDbv1.9.0.sql
  • ProcureSightEnterpriseDatabaseAcceleratorOraclev1.9.0.sql

Step 2: Importing the application

The last step is to install the application, which includes the documents, by importing the application zip into the target environment.

To import the application:

  1. In the target environment, sign in as the deployment user.
  2. Go to the Appian Designer.
  3. Click IMPORT.
  4. Click UPLOAD and choose the ProcureSightEnterpriseDatabaseAcceleratorv1.9.0.zip file that was downloaded in Installing ProcureSight Enterprise.
  5. Select Include related import customization file.
  6. Click UPLOAD, then select the ProcureSightEnterpriseDatabaseAcceleratorv1.9.0.properties file that was downloaded in Installing PSE: Step 1.
  7. Click INSPECT.
  8. Review the inspection results. If there are no issues, click IMPORT PACKAGE.
    • Note: The import may time out due to file size, but import will continue in the background.
  9. After import, check that the process AS PD DA Add Appn Doc IDs and Embed Docs ran successfully to write and embed the sample documents. Note: The process will only run if AS_PD_BOOL_IS_SEMANTIC_DOC_SEARCH_ENABLED and AS_PD_BOOL_IS_DATA_SERVICE_ENABLED are set to true and the connection to AS_PD_CS_PrivateDataServiceForSemanticSearch is set up. If you would like to use the data service document search, and these are configured later, then this process will have to be run after data service document search is configured to prepare the document data.
