About submission management When you create a new submission, Connected Underwriting P&C (CU P&C) automatically creates a new Submission record, which allows you to review submission information, risk details, tasks, alerts, and much more. View submissions You can view submission records from the MY WORKBENCH and SUBMISSIONS pages. You can also search and filter the Submissions list from either location to return only the submission records you want to see. MY WORKBENCH displays your submissions in a list view under the SUBMISSIONS LIST tab. From here, you can view your submission records, organized and sorted into three tabs by your most recently updated submissions, submissions assigned to you that constitute new business, and submissions assigned to you that constitute renewed business. For details on viewing and managing policy renewals, including renewal statuses, filters, and actions, see Renewal Management. To view all of your organization's submissions in the Connected Underwriting P&C solution in a dashboard view, go to the SUBMISSIONS page. Submission summary From the Submissions list, you can locate and click a submission's ID to drill down into the Submission record and view more details, including the Submission Summary. The summary view provides access to information critical to the underwriting process, including: Submission Details: The status of a submission, assignee, proposed effective and expiry dates, and more. Customer Information: The relevant contact information for the customer. Broker Information: The relevant contact information for the broker and the office they represent. Alerts: All open alerts for a submission. Risk Information: The risk calculations for each insured line of business and high-level information on loss history. Notes: All notes attached to the submission. Tasks: Any tasks relevant to the submission. Related Submissions: Other submissions associated with the same customer or broker. In addition, you can perform specific actions directly from the Summary tab, including editing submission watchers, updating the submission status, and creating a new submission task. Want more insights about a Submission record? Within the Submission record, you can navigate between the tabs to view everything from the submission's risk details to any associated documents to sanctions results, history, and more. Risk details The Risk Details tab shows a view of all the insured entities connected to a submission, categorized by their line of business. You can drill down into each line of business using the Details links. Loss History: Shows high-level information associated with past claims for a specific line of business. Details: Shows more detailed information on the assets insured for a specific line of business. For renewal submissions, you can compare new risk data against existing policy data to identify changes that may impact underwriting decisions. See Risk data comparison for more information. Financial performance The Financial Performance tab helps underwriters assess an organization's fiscal health and long-term stability. It provides a consolidated view of up to five years of historical financial data, supporting more accurate risk assessments for lines of business like Management Liability. The page is organized into three interlinked sections: Financial performance overview: Displays the raw data. Key metrics: Automatically calculates year-over-year changes. AI Copilot: Provides a narrative summary and risk assessment based on the data. For renewal submissions, the Financial Performance section is view-only. Underwriters can view existing policy data but cannot edit it directly. See Update submission data for details on view-only sections. Quote The Quote tab provides a centralized workspace for managing the financial proposal process, allowing underwriters to create, rate, and refine various insurance options for a submission. It facilitates the transition from initial coverage selection to final binding through integrated rating and referral workflows. The quoting process is organized into three primary actions: Create Quote: Establish the high-level container by entering a Quote Name, Inception Date, and Expiration Date (defaulted to one year from inception). Edit Quote: Modify existing quote details, such as names or effective dates, directly from the main workspace as long as the submission remains open. Create Quote Option: Define specific coverage scenarios by selecting products like D&O or EPL and entering Rating Inputs (limits/retentions) and Rating Worksheet values (Default, Suggested, Min/Max premiums). Submission docs The Documents tab lists all of the documents related to a submission. You can see the status of your attached documents, the type of document when it was received, and more. Clicking on a document's name will open a PDF view of that document and a summary of attributes. History The History tab shows a summary of key actions performed on a submission. Messages The Messages tab displays all automated messages and exchanges between customers and business users for a submission. Connected Underwriting P&C provides a detailed view of the message transmitted when you select a message. The screen shows the message, contact information, date, and any included files. Sanction results Connected Underwriting P&C provides an out-of-the-box integration with the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions list, allowing you to perform a sanctions check on any entities you are evaluating. From the Sanctions Results tab, you can view detailed results for all sanctions checks initiated for a submission, including: A history of the most recent sanctions check. A list view of any matched and unmatched sanctions results. The option to manually rerun a sanctions check for a specific submission. From the submission's Summary tab, you can view completed or scheduled sanctions check tasks associated with the submission. Related actions The Related Actions tab provides quick access to different actions available on a submission. Note that these actions are only available on submissions not in a Completed status (except Add Note, which is still available). Currently, managers have the following options: Reassign: Allows you to assign a submission to a different user or group. Edit Information: Allows you to edit submission details, including general, customer, and broker information associated with the Submission record. Edit Commercial Property Claims: Allows you to add claims and edit the information of existing claims, such as status, loss type, and more. Edit Premises: Allows you to add and delete insured premises and edit the information of existing premises. Add Note: Allows you to attach a note to a submission - Notes appear on the Submission Summary page. Edit Watchers: Allows up to 10 users to subscribe to a Submission and be notified of any changes. Update Status: Allows you to update a submission status. Submissions can be placed on hold or canceled from this page. Submit Decision: Allows you to either Accept or Decline a submission. Upload Documents: Allows you to add new documents or edit existing documents on a Submission. Create Task: Allows you to create a new task and assign it to a user. Update Renewal Decision: Updates the renewal decision for an expiring policy. You can approve the renewal to create a new submission pre-filled with existing policy data, or decline it by providing a mandatory reason for non-renewal, which is captured in the record's audit trail. Available from the Renewals tab in the Submission Workbench. See Renewal Management for more information. Feedback Was this page helpful? SHARE FEEDBACK Loading...
