This content was written for Appian 26.6 and may not reflect the interfaces or functionality of other Appian versions. Award Management associates document templates with checklist items to auto-populate documents with data entered in Appian. This produces documents in a consistent format. For example, when a user completes a COR Appointment checklist item, the COR Appointment Letter template is provided. The user clicks a link to generate and populate the letter based on the template. This page describes how to add document templates and configure them to auto-populate with award data. Add a document template To add a template to a checklist item type: Add a document template to the AS AM Document Template folder. See instructions for creating documents. In the folder properties for the AS AM Document Template folder, note the folder ID. In the document properties for each template that you added to the folder, note the document ID. Using the folder ID and document IDs from the previous steps, add an entry to the AS_AM_R_DOCUMENT_TEMPLATE table for each document. See the Document Template section of Reference Data Tables. Auto-populate a document template with data To auto-populate the template with award data: Open the AS AM Create Word Doc from Template process model. From the Template Smart Service Document node, add an MS Word 2007 document for each template added to the AS_AM_R_DOCUMENT_TEMPLATE table. In the Setup tab of the added node, add Template Configuration values and save the document to the AS AM Temporary Document Template folder. In the Setup tab, add the fields to search in the template and the values to replace them with. Use the sample Capabilities Template as a guide. In the XOR gateway Decision tab, add a new condition for each template. In the process modeler, link the new node to the end node. Feedback Was this page helpful? SHARE FEEDBACK Loading...
