Contract Writing 2.2 Release Notes

What's New in Contract Writing?

The Contract Writing 2.2 release notes provide an overview of the latest changes and improvements to the Contract Writing (CW) Solution. The new features and improved capabilities were designed with best practices in mind.

Integration with Vendor Management (VM)

Contract Writing now integrates seamlessly with Vendor Management. In addition to reducing the need to rekey information between the two solutions, this new integration with VM also provides the following:

  • Ability to create an Opportunity record in VM based on the released solicitation record in CW. This pre-populates several data points in the Opportunity, reducing the need to rekey information.
    • To facilitate the passing of data between CW and VM, the Solicitation Type field (Sealed Bid or Negotiated) is now a required field to create a solicitation in CW.
  • Ability to post an amendment update for the solicitation to the opportunity in VM.
  • A link between the opportunity and solicitation in the CW record.

For more information on setting up this integration, see Setting up VM Integration.

General enhancements

We've added DD Form 1155 to the standard forms for the solicitations in the Contract Writing solution. You will now be able to select this form and have the first page automatically populate based on your selection.

Clause fix

Fixed an issue in which non-FAR clauses were not printing the clause number and title in the clause text and the prescription text was erroneously displayed in the clause text.

Now, non-FAR clauses, such as agency or department clauses, will correctly print the clause title and number and the prescription text will be omitted from the clause text.
