usertimezone() Function

usertimezone( user )

Returns the site primary timezone if the application is configured to override user preferences; otherwise it returns the preferred timezone of the given user or the site primary timezone if the user doesn't have a preference set.

Usage considerations

The timezone is returned as a string, such as "GMT" or "EST".

Using this function in a process model with autoscale enabled may result in degraded site or application performance. It should be used with caution and tested thoroughly before deploying it for real-world use. When the application is in production, use the Autoscaled Process Activity tab to monitor how the process performs at scale.
