The Requirements Management 1.5 Release Notes provide an overview of the latest changes and improvements to the Government Requirements Management Solution. The new features and improved capabilities were designed with best practices in mind.
Requirements Management (RM) now includes intelligent search capabilities for Product Service Codes (PSC) and NAICS codes. Previously, when creating a new requirement, users had to navigate to a different system to find the right PSC and NAICS values and manually add them to the requirement. This process was error-prone and time consuming. With intelligent search capabilities, users can now add Product Service Codes (PSC) and NAICS codes directly from within RM. These codes are useful for classification purposes and for identifying relevant best in class contracts.
Now when creating a new requirement, users can simply type in a keyword and RM will recommend possible PSC and NAICS codes based on the descriptions the user provides, even if the description is not a direct word match.
Based on the PSC selected, RM can also recommend NAICS codes relevant to the requirement. However, users can still manually search for other NAICS codes.
This release also introduces another exciting intelligent capability: intelligent checklists recommendations. Do you have dozens of possible checklists to choose from? Do you want to reduce the chance of selecting the wrong checklist for a requirement? With intelligent checklist recommendations, RM can automatically provide one or more suggestions based on the details of your requirement.
In the RM settings site, you can easily configure the criteria that you want RM to use to determine which checklists to recommend when requestors create new requirements.
When they select a checklist for their new requirement, the requestor may select one of the required (recommended) checklists or manually override the required checklists. In this release, RM gives you greater control over checklist selections by allowing you to configure the solution to require users to select a recommended checklist.
