This page describes what you can do in the Applications view in Appian Designer.
The Applications view is the default view in Appian Designer.
To return to this view from other views at the environment level, click Applications in the navigation pane.
To return to this view from an application, click the back arrow in the header bar.
The Applications view allows you to create applications, import applications, and access all applications for which you have permissions in the environment. This view also allows you to connect directly with your fellow developers in Appian Community.

The Recent Applications section allows you to quickly access the last three to five applications that you have recently opened or modified.
The following modifications will cause an application to show in Recent Applications:

If you haven't accessed any applications yet in this environment, this section displays the most recently edited applications in this environment.
The Recent Applications section allows you to view information about your recently accessed applications, such as who else has modified the application and the time of the most recent changes. However, some permissions may affect the information that you can see.
If you see an editor with a default grey profile avatar or a username instead of initials, you likely don't have permission to view that user or information about them. For more information on permissions and user visibility, see User Profile Visibility.
If there are differences between the editors you see in the recent applications and those listed in the object grid within those applications, it's likely that an editor made changes to an object that you don't have permission to view.
In the Applications view, you can perform a number of application-related tasks.
The applications list displays information about applications for which you have at least Viewer permissions.
Each row in the applications list contains the following columns:
To search the applications list, enter the name, description, or prefix of an application in the search box in the toolbar. Your search term(s) will be run against application names, descriptions, and prefixes and return a list of all matching applications.
In the toolbar, use the following filters:
Note: The last modified date represents the date that a developer last changed the application properties, added an object to the application, or removed an object from the application.
By default, the applications list is sorted by the Last Modified On column.
To sort by any column, click the column heading.
In the applications list, click the application name. If you're opening the application for the first time, the Explore view is active by default. If you've previously opened the application, whichever view you last accessed in the application is active (for example, you might see the Build view instead).

Deleted applications are removed from the system and cannot be restored. Deleting an application does not delete any of its objects; they simply lose the relationship with the deleted application but retain any other relationships they may have.

After deleting the application, you can view those objects in the Objects view.
