With this instance, you receive admin-level access to most of the features and management capabilities the Appian platform offers. As long as it is used regularly, Appian Community Edition is yours with no time or expiration limits.
In addition, Appian Community Edition is a new way to get started with low-code. It allows you to get hands-on with low-code for free and learn or explore what you can do with it by gaining unified access to extensive learning resources.
Appian Community Edition can be used for limited production purposes if used within the parameters of the terms and conditions of the Appian Community Edition license.

With Appian Community Edition, you receive admin-level access to almost every feature of the Appian platform.
Log in to your Appian Community Edition and use it regularly to keep it active. If your environment is inactive (no logins) for five days, the environment is automatically shut down. When an Appian Community Edition environment is shut down, a backup is taken. This backup allows you to restart your Appian Community Edition environment in the exact same state in which you left off! If you do not restart and log into your site during the 28-day retention period, the backup will be deleted and there is no way to recover the environment's data. As long as you log in regularly, it is yours without a time limit.
Whether the site was shut down due to inactivity or you just want to start fresh, you can always request a new one.
