Setting up SAM.gov Integration

SAM.gov integration for Contract Writing

The Appian Contract Writing (CW) solution comes with an integration with SAM.gov. To use this integration, you must register for a key from SAM.gov and configure your CW solution to use the key provided.

Register for SAM.gov key

To utilize this integration, you will need to register for an API key.

  1. Navigate to https://sam.gov/content/home.
  2. Create a new account by choosing to sign up.
  3. Go to the Workspace tab.

  4. Select the Profile link above your user name and icon.

  5. You can then request an API key. Copy this API key when it is generated.

Configure the Contract Writing application for SAM.gov

After receiving your email from SAM.gov, you will need to configure your application to use the saved API key.

  1. Access your Appian Designer.
  2. In your application, select AS GCW Full Application.
  3. On the left side under object type, select Connected System.
  4. Select AS GAM CS Search API for SAM gov .
  5. Find the Value field and click the Clear link next to it.
  6. In the cleared Value field, paste the saved API key.

  7. Click SAVE.
