Set Up the Policy Document AI Chat Module

Prepare for setup

After installing the AI Policy Document Assistant add-on module, you need to set it up before using it with the Connected Claims Base application.

This guide walks you through the incorporation steps required to utilize the full functionality of the AI Policy Document Assistant. Implementers are free to customize the security, display names, and other aspects of the application to best suit their needs.

System Prerequisites

• Appian platform running version 26.6 or greater.
• A supported web browser.
• Imported Connected Claims Base application version 2.0 or higher, which includes the following application containers:
  • Connected Claims Management Base (CCM)
  • CCM Studio Generated Objects
• Imported AI Policy Document Assistant module application containers, including:
  • CCM Add On: Policy Documents Chat AI

To incorporate the add-on module with the Appian Connected Claims Base Application, perform the following steps.

Configure Record View page

1. In the target environment, log in as the deployment user.
2. Navigate to Appian Designer.
3. Navigate to Connected Claims Management Base application.
4. Search for and open the CCM_CustomerPolicy_RecordView_CoveragesAndDeductibles expression rule.

   1. Add the following code above Coverages Details.

Use the AI Policy Document Assistant module after setup

After you set up the AI Policy Document Assistant module, you can chat with AI about policy documents, ask questions about coverage details, and receive intelligent insights directly within the customer policy interface in Connected Claims.
