Install Automobile LOB Module - MariaDB

Prepare for installation

The Automobile LOB add-on module ships as a separate self-contained application that you can incorporate with your Connected Claims Base application. After installation and setup, this module allows your organization to rapidly deploy a line of business-specific records that enable your teams to configure automobile insurance products in Studio.

This guide outlines the steps to download and install the Automobile LOB add-on module for MariaDB before you incorporate it with your Connected Claims Base application.

Before starting the installation process, review the System Prerequisites to make sure all minimum requirements are met.

System prerequisites

Before installing the Automobile LOB module, ensure your environment meets the following requirements:

  • Appian platform running version 26.6 or greater.
  • An Appian Cloud environment with the advanced or premium platform tiers.
  • A supported version of MariaDB as a business data source.
    • Note: The instructions in this guide are for MariaDB databases. For use with other databases, the SQL script.
  • A supported web browser.
  • Imported Connected Claims Management Base Application version 2.0 and higher, which includes the following application containers:
    • Connected Claims Management Base (CCM)
    • CCM Studio Generated Objects
  • Imported Survey Task Framework v1.2 application.

Download the software package

This section covers obtaining the necessary installation files from the Appian Community site to prepare for the Automobile LOB module installation.

To install the Automobile LOB add-on module, download the software package that contains the following files, which you use in the remaining setup steps.

  • 01.ConnectedClaimsManagementAddOnCategoryAutomobilev1.2.0.sql
  • ConnectedClaimsManagementAddOnCategoryAutomobilev1.2.0.zip

To download the software package:

  1. In My Appian, navigate to the Support tab.
  2. Select DOWNLOADS > SOLUTIONS.
  3. Search for and open Appian Connected Claims.
  4. Under Downloads, click Appian Connected Claims and agree to the License Agreement.
  5. Click CCM Add-On: LOB Automobile to download the ConnectedClaimsManagementAddOnCategoryAutomobilev1.2.0.zip file.
  6. Unzip ConnectedClaimsManagementAddOnCategoryAutomobilev1.2.0.zip to access the installation files.

Import the application

This section imports the Automobile LOB module into your Appian environment, making it available for integration with Connected Claims.

Import the application files into the target environment.

To import the application files:

  1. In the target environment, log in as the deployment user.
  2. Navigate to the Appian Cloud Database.
  3. Click IMPORT, then UPLOAD to choose the script file.
  4. Navigate to Appian Designer.
  5. Click IMPORT.
  6. Click UPLOAD, then choose the application ConnectedClaimsManagementAddOnCategoryAutomobilev1.2.0.zip file.
  7. Select the Include related import customization file checkbox.
  8. Click UPLOAD, then choose the Import Customization File (PROPERTIES) file.
  9. Click INSPECT to ensure that there are no complications on import.

  10. Click IMPORT.

    Note:  The import may time out due to file size, but the import continues in the background.

  11. Review the import results and verify the CCM Add On: Automobile AI Features (CCM_AI) application container was imported.

Set up the module after installation

After you install the Automobile LOB add-on module, follow the steps in Setting Up the Automobile LOB to start using this functionality with Connected Claims.
