On This Page

Purpose

The Sign-In Page page in the Admin Console controls settings related to the page your users seen when signing in to Appian. You can customize the Appian sign-in experience to let users choose from available authentication methods and also provide links to information hosted outside Appian.

Access

To access the Sign-In Page page, go to the Admin Console. Then, in the left navigation menu, under Authentication, click Sign-In Page.

Settings

The Sign-In Page page contains the following settings.

Identity providers

If you have different types of users accessing Appian through different single sign-on identity providers, you can set up unique sign-in pages for each user type. You must have at least one OpenID Connect or SAML provider configured to set up additional sign-in pages.

To enable different sign-in pages, do the following:

  1. Select Have users choose their sign-in page.
  2. For Identity Provider Choices Prompt, enter instructions to help users pick the correct identity provider option.
  3. In the Identity Provider Choices section, do the following for each option you want to display:
    1. Click Add Identity Provider Link.
    2. For Identity Provider, select an option from the dropdown.
    3. For Label, enter a description of the type of user that should choose this option.
  4. Click SAVE CHANGES.

The Sign-in Page Links grid allows you to add custom links to the sign-in page. The links will appear on the sign-in page in the same order in which they are arranged in the Admin Console.

The maximum number of links is five, and only links that use the http, https, or mailto protocols are allowed.

To add a sign-in page link, do the following:

  1. Click New Link.
  2. For Link Text, enter the text to be shown to the user.
  3. For URL, enter the URL of the resource to open when the link text is clicked.
  4. Click SAVE CHANGES.
