Set Up SAM.gov Integration for Award Management

Appian Award Management (AM) includes an integration to SAM.gov for vendor research. To use this integration, you must register for an API key from SAM.gov and configure the AM connected system with the key.

Note:  In AM 2.6 and later, the vendor data migration utility uses the SAM.gov integration during the Reconcile step to enrich incomplete vendor records. Configure the SAM.gov API key before running the vendor migration.

Register for a SAM.gov API key

To register for an API key:

  1. Navigate to SAM.gov.
  2. Sign up to create a new account.
  3. Go to Workspace > Account Details.
  4. Click Request API Key to generate the API key.

  5. Copy the generated API key.

Configure Award Management for SAM.gov

After generating the API key, configure the AM connected system to use it.

  1. Go to Appian Designer > AS AM Full Application.
  2. Search for and open the AS AM CS Search API for SAMgov connected system.
  3. In the Value field, click Clear.
  4. Paste the API key copied in the Register for a SAM.gov API key step.

  5. Click SAVE.
