The Vendor Management 1.9 Release Notes provide an overview of the latest changes and improvements to the Vendor Management Solution. The new features and improved capabilities were designed with best practices in mind.
Government Contract Writing integrationCopy link to clipboard
Vendor Management (VM) now allows you to easily create and post an opportunity from a solicitation record in Government Contract Writing (GCW).
Previously, if you wanted to create a new opportunity, you had to manually enter all the relevant details and upload the documents.
Now, when a solicitation reaches Released status in GCW, a new Create action is displayed allowing you to create an opportunity in VM from the existing solicitation. Data and documents from the solicitation in GCW are automatically displayed in the Create Opportunity wizard in VM, streamlining and simplifying the create opportunity process.
This capability reduces the need to manually reenter the solicitation data and upload associated documents in the opportunity.
Once the opportunity is created in VM, a link is established between the opportunity in VM and the solicitation in GCW, making it easy to navigate between the two.
When the solicitation is updated in GCW, you can use the Post Amend Notice action in GCW to pull the changes into the opportunity in VM. This action gets the updates and documents from GCW and makes those available in the Amend Notice wizard.
Note: This content is applicable only when you have both the VM and GCW solutions and need to integrate them seamlessly for data flow. Appian recommends disabling the SLG toggle when creating an opportunity from a solicitation in GCW. When you have both the Award Management (AM) and GCW solutions, Appian recommends using either the AM or GCW integration, but not both simultaneously. See Setting up the GCW integration for the integration steps.
