Usage limits may apply. What is Process HQ? Learn how to use Process HQ to quickly build reports and analytics from your enterprise data and combine them into comprehensive dashboards. This page applies to business users. It describes what you can do on the home page of Process HQ. Overview When you access the Process HQ workspace, you'll land on the home page. Here, you can quickly access your reports and dashboards so you can make strategic, data-driven decisions. To return to this page from other pages in the workspace, click Home in the navigation bar. Elements The following image highlights the elements that make up this page: # Element Actions Available 1 Navigation bar The current page you're on, the home page of Process HQ. View the Process Insights page. View the Data Catalog page. View the Data Governance page. Switch out of Process HQ and into another workspace like Appian Designer. The workspaces you can access depend on your user role and other security settings. Change settings for your user profile. 2 Toolbar Click EXPLORE DATA to view the Data Catalog page. Click CREATE DASHBOARD to begin creating a dashboard. 3 Recently Opened section Access the reports and dashboards you recently opened. If you haven’t opened a report or dashboard before, this section will not appear. 4 Library toolbar Search for a report or dashboard. Filter the list of reports and dashboard. Create a dashboard. Go to the following tabs: The All tab displays all reports and dashboards created in the workspace. The Created by Me tab displays all reports and dashboards you created. The Shared with Me tab displays all reports and dashboards shared with you. 5 Library list View or edit reports and dashboards you have access to view. Open a report or dashboard in a new tab. Edit properties. Duplicate a report or dashboard. Share a report or dashboard. Delete a report or dashboard. Search for a report or dashboard To search for a report or dashboard, enter the name or description of the object in the search box. Filter the list of reports and dashboards In the toolbar, use the following filters: Type: Filter by the type of object—a report or a dashboard. Last Modified: Filter by the date range when a report or dashboard was last modified. Last Modified By: Filter by the name of the report creator who last changed or created a report or dashboard. Edit report or dashboard properties You can only edit a report or dashboard if you are the creator or if the creator has assigned you edit permissions. To edit the properties of a report or dashboard: Next to the report or dashboard, click , then Edit Properties. In the Edit Properties dialog: For Name, enter a name for the report or dashboard. For Description, enter a brief description of the report or dashboard. Click SAVE. Duplicate a report or dashboard You can only duplicate a report if you are the report creator or if the report creator has assigned you edit permissions. To duplicate a report or dashboard: Next to the report or dashboard, click , then Duplicate. In the Duplicate dialog: For Name, enter a name for the report or dashboard. For Description, enter a brief description of the report or dashboard. Click CREATE. When you duplicate the report or dashboard, the new object will only be available to you. You must share the new report or dashboard to allow other users to view it. Share a report or dashboard By default, a report or dashboard is only available to the user who created it. To allow other users to view or edit reports and dashboards, share them with other users in Process HQ. You can share reports and dashboards from the Home page or from within the report or dashboard. Editors can make all the same changes to the shared report or dashboard as the creator, but they cannot create new reports or dashboards. To share a report or dashboard with all Process HQ users: Click Share for the report or dashboard. In the Share dialog, click to enable Allow all Process HQ viewers to view toggle. Click SAVE. To share a report or dashboard with individual users: Click Share for the report or dashboard. In the Share dialog, use the Add User field to search for the user to add. Use the dropdown to set the permission level for the user to Viewer or Editor. Click SAVE. If you shared a report, users with permission to view the underlying dataset can view the report. If you shared a dashboard, users will need permission to view each item on the dashboard in order to view all of the contents of the dashboard. Delete a report or dashboard You can only delete a report or dashboard if you are the creator or if the creator has assigned you edit permissions.
