There are examples of validating a credentials and different types of designer input. Validating credentials and connection information Credentials and connection information should be stored in the connected system. So, extend SimpleTestableConnectedSystemTemplate to test a designer's credentials. A Testable Connected System Template gives the designer the ability to verify the endpoint, credentials, and more when editing the Connected System. Implementing SimpleTestableConnectedSystemTemplate means implementing the testConnection method. Your implementation should test all values in the configuration and give the designer a clear message if something is invalid. This almost always means reaching out to the external service. For example, the out-of-the-box Amazon Machine Learning integration uses the connected system credentials to retrieve the models available for querying. If the connected system credentials are incorrect, we need to display that information to the designer in the appropriate location. To display validations on connected system information or validations that apply to more than one field, use SimpleConfiguration.setErrors(). If you do not specify a key or propertyPath, the validation messages appear at the top of the integration designer below the connected system.
