This release includes exciting enhancements to automation, Appian Records, and more.

Automate Windows applications entirely with low-code RPA

You can use our new module to automate Windows applications entirely with low-code. It’s easy to open and close specific applications, perform a variety of common or complex actions, and even switch between two open apps.

Access related data more easily

You can now relate your record types using relationships to connect your data and then seamlessly reference this data throughout your applications. You can even relate data from different source types, like Salesforce and a database table.

Integrate Appian releases into your existing deployment pipeline

We've created new deployment APIs that can be called from external tools, such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps. You can set up your pipeline once and run it the same way for all future deployments, saving time and avoiding manual errors.

Easily copy expressions with one click

Have you ever wanted an easy button to copy an example expression? We know you have—so we've delivered it! Look for the Copy icon on the top-right of any expression example in the docs. Simply click to copy the entire expression.

DevOps content reorganization

We've reorganized and expanded the DevOps content. All of our content related to testing, deploying, and monitoring applications using DevOps practices is now in one place.

Improved RPA API Documentation

We've improved the Appian RPA REST API documentation to use a more consistent and streamlined organization. Each page now includes example request and response bodies. We've also added a note to the top of each method's page to remind you to use the proper authentication headers.
