Mobile Push Notifications

Overview

Mobile push notifications for iOS and Android are only available on Appian Cloud and are encrypted end-to-end.

A banner is displayed when the mobile device receives a push notification. When the banner is tapped, the user is navigated to the pertinent location in the Appian mobile app.

Mobile push notifications are enabled by default. There are diffrent levels of control for this feature:

  • Administrtors can disable the feature system wide in the Appian Administration Console.
  • Designers can disable notifications on a per-task basis.
  • Users can disable notifications from the alert page or from the mobile operating system settings.

Requirements

  • Appian (iOS) 17.2 or above running on iOS 10 or later
  • Appian (Android) 17.2 or above

Push notifications are currently not supported on Appian for BlackBerry.
