General Tab

On the General Tab of the Process Model Properties dialog box, the following properties and configuration options are available.

Process Model ID

The local ID of the process model is displayed on this tab. The ID number is assigned when the process model is first saved. If the process model is imported and exported, this ID number is reassigned by the system.

Process Model UUID

The universally unique ID of the process model, which is assigned when the process model is first saved. If the process model is imported and exported, the UUID property remains unchanged.

Process Model Name

  • Rename the process model.
  • When a process model is configured as a related action, this name is used for the related action name.
  • When multiple languages are enabled in the application, the process model name can be configured separately for each language. Sub-tabs representing each enabled language then appear.

Description

  • Document what the process does.
  • When a process model is configured as a related action, this description is used for the related action description.
  • When multiple languages are enabled in the application, the process model description can be configured separately for each language. Sub-tabs representing each enabled language then appear.

Process Display Name

  • The name of the process as it appears to users after a process based on this model has started.
    • You can also use a logical expression to generate the display name for the process model.

Process Priority

  • The priority of the process model. In addition to process model priority, you can specify the priority for each task. If a task priority is not specified, the task will inherit process priority. Users will then be able to sort their tasks by priority.

Email Attachments Folder

All attachments sent via e-mail messages to a process will be stored in this folder. To select a folder, click Browse. This will open a Folders picker from which a folder can be chosen. By default, this folder is set to the Temporary Documents folder, which is located in the Default Community under the Temporary Documents Knowledge Center.

Public Events

  • When the Allow Anyone to Fire Triggers? checkbox is selected, any process designer can have messages be sent to events within this process model.
    • Leaving this check box cleared results in the process initiator being the only user who can send messages to trigger receive message events configured within this process model.
  • The Public Events checkbox must be selected to use an email message to start a process. — and —
  • To start a process using the Receive Message: Email trigger on the Start Event (as opposed to a Receive Message Event process flow event) the Anonymous User must enabled.

Time Zone ID

Specify the time zone context that is used for each process instance and indicated by the pp!timezone process property.

Override with Initiator's Time Zone

Select this checkbox to run the process using the time zone preference of the user who launches the process model.
