Creating a custom Group Type allows you to define attributes that can be (or must be) designated when adding a new group. This allows you to differentiate users into different kinds of groups, or improve processes by requiring that certain attributes be set when the group is defined in the system.

The attributes that you assign can use one of the following data types.
Distribution Centergroup type might have a
Site Supervisorattribute that holds a user name value.
Proposal Teamgroup type might take a
Sales Regionattribute or a
Proposal Teamgroup type might have an
Issuerattribute could use the text data type to accept the name of the organization that issued the request for proposal.
Proposal Teamgroup type, an integer attribute called
Prioritycould represent the relative importance or resource allocation assigned to the group.
Proposal Teamgroup type might use a decimal data type for a
Bonusattribute could then represent the overall percentage of the proposed deal that is eligible for compensation for members of a new group created with a Proposal Team group type.
Proposal Teamgroup type might have a required attribute called
Due Datethat holds a Date data type.

To delete an attribute associated with a group type, select the checkbox that corresponds to the attribute. Click Delete Attribute.
